Presented here is some of the After Effects or CGI motion graphics that I have produced. Mostly these are items that I have done myself rather than art directed.
A personal project exploring what Star Trek’s Commander Data looks like under his artificial skin. I painted all of the various layers, build the LCARS graphics in Illustrator, then animated everything in After Effects.
During the 2008 production of Iron Man the opportunity came up to have a commercial spot during the 2008 MTV Video Awards. Unfortunately the game at that time was in no condition to send out to an agency to produce, as would normally happen (no menu, too many bugs and incomplete levels). Additionally the time it was needed by seemed impossible (just over a week). Given my familiarity with the technology, I was asked if I could do something for the team. I came up with a concept, captured all the footage from the game, and worked with an editor to pull off the following, which successfully aired at the awards show.
In 2017 was approached by Centrify to do a short video piece in the theme of a Star Wars intro for a promotional campaign tied to the opening of Episode VII. Although full CGI is not my usual thing, it was a fun project.
In 2009 I helped a friend to develop a new interface for a golf club scoring software he was building. Eventually it was used all over the US and western Canada.
For Sourcefire in 2013 I helped create a short promo video featuring the mascot Snorty. I worked with Liquid Development on the video and also produced the intro zoom sequence myself.

In 2010 I was asked to design an interface for a new antivirus software called Immunet Protect. Part of the design was the animated banner that showed the connection to the Cloud that I animated in Maya and then built in Flash.
